Resident artist Jason Rudolph Pena was asked to participate in “Let Them Eat Pancakes! The Hellboy Art Show!” at the Uberbot gallery in Florida celebrating Mike Magnola’s “Hellboy II The Golden Army” coming to theatres July 11th. Art Detour 20 has come and gone! What a great weekend it was! kollectiv art and design group was very
proud to have been asked to participate as a Mystery Gallery and had the greatest pleasure of hosting The
MOB for the event. The MOB consists of some seriously talented artists and include Jake Beckman, Kristine
Brambilla, Sylvia Frost, Ric Ordway, Mark Patterson, Michael Petry, Frank Roberts and Josie Taglienti.
There was great art, music, food and fun and we are looking forward to next year!
Friday nights festivities included a live DJ and graffiti painting by artists Isaac and Eddie — they will be finishing these boards during April First Friday.
March 8-9, 2008. Saturday and Sundays events included live music from Eric and Jimmy Lee and live painting demo’s by Patricia Jensen, Jake Beckman and Michael Petry and Kristine Brambilla’s public art piece continued to transform.
Past News. Huck Gee, artist and designer hailing from San Francisco, CA, has two custom painted bombs (see photos in the gallery page) showing exclusively at kollectiv's gallery. Huck's custom Dunny toy design was picked up by MOMA. You can read about this high profile honor for Huck Gee here.
